Holocaust Survivor Shares Her Story with the Freshman Class

Erika Schwartz was just a small child living in Budapest, Hungary, when the Nazis, under Hitler’s orders, tried to rid the world of the Jewish population. Now 80 years old, the scars of those years are ever present as her mother’s pain from living through those years affected Erika all her life. She came to the high school to share her story with students so they know you can't always control things around you, but you have complete control over things between your ears.

Aetos Welcomes 2nd Graders For A Fun Afternoon 🎀

When the Aetos Center opened a couple of years ago, its main focus has been education. It is a place where high school students can practice their craft and find their niche, but it is also where the youngest students in our district can see a live show steps away from their schools. As was the case recently when 2nd graders in Nixa and our neighboring school districts came to see the production of "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus."

New Food Service Provider Getting Great Reviews πŸ€—

In their first year in our district, Chartwells, our new food service provider, has been serving up delicious breakfast and lunch items everyone is raving about. With a focus on healthy and nutritious meals, the Chartwells staff has been eager to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. Their goal is to get to know every student and prepare the best meals for them.

Nixapella will perform today at the MMEA conference at the Lake of the Ozarks. They are the third choir from Nixa to be chosen to attend this year's event, along with the Inman Eagle Honor Choir and the Junior High Tenor/Bass Choir. Congratulations to all the families and educators who have supported these amazing students in their journey!
